, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi confirmed today, Thursday, seeking to increase financial allocations in the budget to support drama and television production.
The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament said, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "First Deputy Speaker Mohsen al-Mandalawi received in his office today the head of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate (Jabbar Judy) and a group of art stars, in the presence of Representative (Hussein Arab)."
Al-Mandalawi stressed "the need to support local drama and television production by increasing financial allocations in the draft budget law for the current year, and the council's keenness to support artists, protect them and guarantee their rights," calling for "taking their role in addressing the problems that society is going through, because of the role they play." Important in expressing the people's reality, aspirations and legitimate demands.
He emphasized that "artists have a special place in the Iraqi family, and they have a strong influence in society, and this makes their responsibilities great in confronting extraneous ideas and problems faced by society in general and youth in particular." Ended 29 / m 99
