    Baghdad today - Baghdad
    A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, confirmed today, Wednesday, that Parliament will vote on the price of the dollar that the government approved yesterday, Tuesday. 
    Cougar told (Baghdad Today) that "the political blocs will not stand up to street pressure and its desire to lower the exchange rate of the dollar," stressing that "all parliamentary blocs announced their support for the government's decision to reduce the exchange rate of the dollar to 1330.”
    He added, "The Finance Committee and Parliament are waiting for the budget to be sent by the Council of Ministers for discussion and an attempt to vote on it, because the delay harms the citizen more."
    Yesterday, Tuesday, the Council of Ministers approved the decision of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Iraq to reduce the exchange rate of the dollar to 1,300 dinars per dollar. 
    The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by (Baghdad Today) that "the cabinet ratifies the decision of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Iraq to amend the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar, at the equivalent of 1,300 dinars to one dollar.”
