    Baghdad today - Baghdad
On Thursday, the head of the al-Hikma Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, announced the agreement of the political forces on the electoral divider in Saint-Lego (1.7).
Al-Hakim said in a televised interview: "The political forces have agreed that the electoral denominator in Saint-Lego's law be 1.7 instead of 1.9 to ensure everyone's participation in the electoral process," stressing that "there is no intention to break one party at the expense of another."
He added, "The election law is not exclusive to large political parties and blocs, and it balances the competitive race."
Al-Hakim revealed that "the coordination framework sent messages of reassurance to the Sadrist movement about the election law," noting, "The framework understands that the movement does not respond to its messages due to special circumstances, but the framework is interested in its presence in the political scene as an important partner."
Al-Hakim stressed, "The framework is always proactive and extends the hand of communication and openness to everyone."
And the House of Representatives, in its session that was held at dawn last Monday, in the presence of 171 deputies, started voting on the proposal for the third amendment law to the House of Representatives, provincial and district elections law No. (12) of 2018.
The Council voted on seven articles out of 15 articles in the law, which aims to "conduct free, fair and fair elections for the House of Representatives and provincial councils that are not organized in a region, and promote them, and the participation of all segments of society, and ensure a fair distribution of seats among the competing lists."
Parliament is scheduled to complete the vote on the remaining articles of the electoral law in its session next Saturday.
