Shafaq News/ The local markets in all governorates are witnessing an incendiary rise in the prices of agricultural crops due to the lack and scarcity of local crops in a season called "covered agriculture".
The head of the Union of Agricultural Associations in Diyala, Raad Hatem Al-Tamimi, told Shafaq News agency, that the prices of agricultural crops increased by 40-50% due to the scarcity of local crops during the months of March and April until next May, indicating that the period of crop scarcity was previously compensated by "covered agriculture", which was It covers two-thirds of the governorate's needs during the months of scarcity.
