An Iraqi-Tunisian agreement to activate tourism activity

The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badrani, discussed with his counterpart, the Tunisian Minister of Tourism, Mohamed Al-Moez Al-Hussein, revitalizing the tourism sector and facilitating transportation between the two countries.
A statement by the ministry stated, "The Iraqi cultural delegation participated in the Tunis International Book Fair, which kicked off yesterday, Friday."
He added, "Iraq's participation comes to enhance its cultural presence in Arab and international forums for its important role in introducing the world to the Iraqi cultural movement and its various products."
The statement indicated that "the Iraqi delegation held meetings and activities aimed at achieving communication and joint cooperation with Tunisia, especially in the field of tourism."
He explained, "The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities met with the Tunisian Minister of Tourism, and during the meeting they discussed ways to develop the tourism sector in both countries by organizing tourist groups to visit the archaeological, heritage and religious places that Iraq abounds in, taking into account the activation of air transport because of its importance." In activating tourism and reducing expenditures.
He continued, "The two sides agreed to hold mutual workshops in which tourism companies and airlines will participate. The first of these workshops will start in Tunisia next June, and six months later, another session will take place in Baghdad."
