Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Iraq is an oil country and will be an invading country in the coming years.
Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein held a press conference with his Czech counterpart, Jan Lipavsky, at the ministry's headquarters in the capital, Baghdad.
Hussein said at the conference, followed by NRT Arabia, that "relations between the two countries went through different stages and supportive of the Iraqi people," noting that "economic and trade relations were among the axes of discussions" between the Iraqi and Czech foreign ministers.
He added, "We discussed supporting Czech companies and participating in building the Iraqi economy, and we discussed Iraq's pioneering role in the region," stressing that "Iraq is an oil country and will be an invading country in the coming years."
Hussein added, "We discussed fellowships in the Czech Republic," noting that "the Czech Republic provides support to the Iraqi forces in the war against terrorism."
And he noted that "they discussed in the meeting the Syrian situation and the return to the Arab League."
For his part, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said: "We look forward to the joint opening of the business conference with Iraq," appreciating "Iraq's role in its contribution to arranging matters in the Middle East."
He also extended "an official invitation to Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein to visit Prague, offering Iraq to contribute to developing its capabilities in the military industry."
