Today, Monday, the Ministry of Planning revealed a significant increase in the number of construction and restoration permits granted to the private sector during the past year compared to the previous year.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said, in a statement received by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the annual report prepared by the Directorate of Building and Construction Statistics at the Central Statistical Organization showed that the rate of increase achieved in the number of permits granted to the private sector in the field of construction reached 14%." ".
And he indicated that "the number of licenses granted reached 37,500, compared to about 33,000 in 2021."
Al-Hindawi pointed out that "the capital, Baghdad, recorded a rate of 21%, achieving the first rank in the number of building and restoration permits granted to the private sector to build new housing homes, followed by the Dhi Qar governorate with a rate of 9%, and the Wasit governorate in the third place with a rate of 8%."
