{Politics: Al-Furat News} The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the need to help Iraq in facing environmental and climatic challenges.
A statement from his office, of which {Euphrates News} received a copy, stated that Mr. Al-Hakim received "this morning the Italian ambassador to Iraq [Maurizio Cricanti], and they discussed developments in the political affairs in Iraq and the region, as well as bilateral relations between Baghdad and Rome in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples."
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Hakim called for "moving the joint files between the two sides, especially in the field of agriculture and water management," stressing "the need to help Iraq in facing climatic and environmental challenges, and the importance of cooperation in the military and cultural fields."
Al-Hakim referred to "the nature of the Sudanese government as a government of services," calling for "supporting and supporting it so that it can implement its program, preserve the rights of the Iraqi components and respect their symbols in a way that enhances their status in society and preserves their existence."
