The first task of the Ministry of Education, from the point of view of many, is still to improve the quality of education by dissolving double shifts and filling vacancies in lessons, by completing thousands of schools and appointing hundreds of thousands of teachers, teachers and administrators.

Karim Al-Sayed, a spokesman for the ministry, said, in an interview with "Al-Sabah": The ministry, "after the recent appointments, has a continuous review of the actual needs at the educational and administrative levels, and it distributes employees after receiving their names from the Federal Service Council," adding that "the education sector needs To a wide staff, we are present in all regions of the country, and we have an actual need for scientific disciplines that have been filled through lecturers.
Al-Sayed continued, "Most of the ministry's cadres are teachers, teachers, and employees, and it is still too early to talk about a surplus," noting that "after the cadres stabilize and the school year begins, a clearer vision will be available in this aspect."
He pointed to the ministry's need for "about 8 thousand schools, of which we will receive more than a thousand schools at the end of this year," noting that "400 schools were opened during 2023, all of which will contribute to reducing overcrowding, in addition to their need for staff in proportion to the population increase."
For his part, the director of supervision in Al-Rusafa First Education, Muhammad Al-Rikabi, stressed the need for a number of specializations, including an acute shortage of service personnel, pointing to the need for about 3 thousand service employees.
Al-Rikabi explained, in an interview with "Al-Sabah", that "we have 25 thousand schools, each of which needs between 15-20 teachers or teachers, in addition to that we need approximately 15 thousand schools in the long term, 8 thousand of which will be completed according to the Chinese contract." .
Al-Rikabi continued, "One and a half million children are received in primary school annually, and there are some rare specialties that we suffer from, such as mathematics, English, physics, art education and sports," pointing to "the presence of follow-up from the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and support from the government service effort team, in addition to Until Project Number One is sponsored by the Minister.
Al-Rikabi stated that "Project Number One will complete the schools that have been lagging behind since 2011, as there are vacant lands after a number of schools were demolished and rebuilt."
