    {Sports: Al Furat News} The President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, received today, Wednesday, the regional director of Visa International, Mario Makari, at the Federation’s headquarters, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Federation, Muhammad Farhan.
    Darjal welcomed Mario, and emphasized: This meeting is not the first, as we have previously met with the Visa company on many occasions, the last of which was in the World Cup in Qatar, and we discussed at that time ways of cooperation and partnership to develop football in Iraq. 
    He explained: The partnership contract with the international company, Visa, will constitute an important event to raise the level of Iraqi football and develop it effectively.
    For his part, Mario Makari expressed his thanks and appreciation to the president of the federation for the warm welcome, explaining that his visit to the federation's headquarters includes discussing ways of cooperation and partnership with the Iraqi federation.
    He stressed, "The Visa company is about to conclude a partnership contract with the Iraqi Federation, which will contribute to the development of football through our experience in sponsoring many sporting events in the region, as well as the fact that our company is the official sponsor of the World Cup in Qatar 2022." Pointing out: Visa is happy with this. The visit, which we hope will result in a real partnership in the future with the Iraqi Federation, given that football is of great importance to Iraqis.”
