    The Minister of Health, Saleh Al-Hasnawi, confirmed on Thursday that the Council of Ministers issued several decisions to facilitate the localization of pharmaceutical industries, while he issued an invitation to Arab and foreign companies regarding the localization of pharmaceutical industries.
    Al-Hasnawi said in his speech during the Ministry of Health’s annual international exhibition (HEALTH EXPO IRAQ), with the participation of (150) Iraqi, Arab and international companies for the production of medicines, medical supplies and modern medical devices, which was held at the Baghdad International Fair, that “work in the Ministry of Health is a partnership, and the basic part is Including companies concerned with the pharmaceutical sector, medical devices and supplies,” noting that “this sector represents the cornerstone of health services provided to our citizens through the General Pharmaceutical Company and the Iraqi and foreign private sectors participating with it.”
    He added, "We look forward to a true partnership based on mutual trust between the safety of the pharmaceutical product, the safety of the medicine, the safety of the medical supplies, and the trust that companies must have in their financial dealings with the General Pharmaceutical Company and the Ministry of Health," noting that "one of the most important projects that we seek in the government is Localization of pharmaceutical industries.
    He stressed that "the localization of the pharmaceutical industries represents one of the most important programs that the government sought to strengthen, as the Council of Ministers issued decisions aimed at localizing the pharmaceutical industries," pointing out that "the Ministry of Health has facilitated many steps related to facilitating the pharmaceutical industries."
    Al-Hasnawi called on "all Arab and foreign companies to help localize the pharmaceutical industry, medical supplies and devices in Iraq," explaining that "the Ministry of Health has an ambitious program that requires time to achieve it, and we have begun the real steps to implement it."
