The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities will launch, early next week, electronic application for Housing Fund loans after it stopped following the exhaustion of the amounts allocated to it.
The Ministry’s official spokesman, Nabil Al-Saffar, said in a statement followed by Mawazine News: “The Ministry’s Housing Fund grants loans according to the financial liquidity available to it by approving the payments made by borrowers, but the Fund has exhausted all the loan amounts allocated to it, amounting to two trillion dinars.” In addition to the cessation of the Central Bank’s initiative to support the Fund with a financial cover, which led to the cessation of granting loans during the past period.”
He stressed that "the bank will launch, early next week, the electronic application for the Fund's loans for the citizens of Baghdad and all governorates, indicating that the application will continue until the allocated quota for each governorate is exhausted, and it will be exclusively electronic through the form on the site after the required conditions and procedures are met."
Al-Saffar explained that “the number of loan beneficiaries from 2005 until now has reached 203,000, while their number since the beginning of this year until the end of last June has reached 17,000,” noting that if the transaction is accepted after meeting the conditions, borrowers will be informed by text message to complete the procedures. And setting a date for reviewing the inspection committees, confirming that there is a strong demand for loans due to the ease of their procedures, while raising the amount to 60 million dinars for each loan.
