Netanyahu advisor: Israel began retaliation starting tonight

Mark Regev, an advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said on Friday that Israel is intensifying pressure on Hamas, that its military operations are underway, and that Gaza will be very different.
Regev told Fox News: "We are intensifying our pressure on Hamas. We are increasing the pressure we are exercising on them. Our military operations are ongoing."
He continued: "They will continue to be on the receiving end of our military strikes until we dismantle their military machine and political structure in Gaza. When this is over, Gaza will be very different."
In an interview with MSNBC on Friday, Mark Regev stated that “Hamas will pay the price for its crimes against humanity and that Israel will begin retaliation starting tonight,” as he put it.
The Israeli army spokesman, Daniel Hagari, announced on Friday evening that “the ground forces will expand their ground activity” tonight in the Gaza Strip, in conjunction with the intense air strikes targeting the Strip.
Hagari also said that IDF forces on the northern border are on high alert.
Earlier on Friday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced that its forces were confronting a ground incursion carried out by the Israeli army in the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip and east of the Bureij refugee camp in the central Strip.
She said in a statement, "Violent clashes are taking place on the ground."
Israeli enemy aircraft launched a massive and violent attack on all areas of the Gaza Strip from the early hours of Friday evening, causing the communications network in the Strip to be cut off.
According to what was reported by the media, since Friday evening, Israeli aircraft and artillery have continued to launch an intense and massive bombing operation on several areas, and the bombing is mostly focused on the eastern areas of the Gaza Strip.
At the same time, the Palestinian cellular communications company "Jawwal" announced a complete cessation of all communications and Internet services with the Gaza Strip and its isolation from the world, after intense Israeli attacks during the past hours.
