On Monday, a member of the Parliamentary Security Committee, MP Salah Zaini Al-Tamimi, set the date for the second reading of the laws of two of the most important security services in Iraq.

Al-Tamimi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The National Security and Intelligence services are among the important agencies in Iraq, and each of them has its own roles, powers, and files that it deals with to enhance security and confront any threats, whether internal or external.”
He added, "The amendments to the laws of the National Security and Intelligence Services have been completed and have become bodies for second reading by the House of Representatives during the upcoming sessions," stressing that "the committee is keen for the two laws to be comprehensive with the latest developments required by the current stage that contribute to dealing with all situations." .
He pointed out that "resolving the laws related to the security services and determining their priorities and structures comes within the framework of completing the building of security institutions in a way that serves stability and public order."
The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee had prepared a number of amendments to the laws of the Intelligence and National Security services according to a vision that adopts multiple axes in support of them. Ended 25 February
