Statistical data revealed the volume of revenues from the alcoholic beverages market in Iraq during the year 2023, indicating that beer leads, representing about 78% of beverage sector revenues.
According to data from the statistical website Statista, which was reviewed by “Baghdad Today”, the revenues of the alcoholic beverage market in Iraq for the year 2023 are estimated at more than 171 million dollars, indicating that the largest sector in the market is the beer sector, with a market size of 133.4 million US dollars in 2023.
In terms of total population numbers, revenue per person of US$3.76 will be generated in 2023, and in the alcoholic beverages market, 1.6% of total revenue will be generated through online sales by 2023.
In the alcoholic beverages market, the volume is expected to reach 86.6 million liters by 2028. The alcoholic beverages market is expected to show a volume growth of 2.2% in 2024 and the average per capita volume of the alcoholic beverages market will reach 1.67 liters in 2023
