    Today, Thursday (January 11, 2024), the Central Bank’s sales amounted to more than $229 million during its auction to buy and sell the US dollar.
    According to the bank’s list, its total sales today amounted to 229 million and 63 thousand and 145 dollars, which the bank covered at a base exchange rate of 1,305 dinars per dollar for documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards, at a rate of 1,310 dinars per dollar for external transfers, and at a rate of 1,310 dinars per dollar in cash.
    According to the table provided to “Baghdad Today,” “most of the dollar sales went to strengthen balances abroad in the form of (remittances, credits), amounting to 206 million and 883 thousand and 145 dollars, while the rest, amounting to 22 million and 180 thousand dollars, went in the form of cash sales.” .
