[rtl]Today, Wednesday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed the fate of the appointments file in the financial budget law for 2024, while confirming that the salary scale law is not within the jurisdiction of Parliament.[/rtl]

[rtl]The head of the committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, said in a televised interview followed by Al-Eqtisad News, “The budget provisions are clear. It is not permissible to appoint on a daily wage or on a contract, unless the government deems there is a need for appointment in this or that sector.”[/rtl]

[rtl]He added, "Appointments depend exclusively on the government's request, but if no changes are made to the budget items, there are no new appointments."[/rtl]

[rtl]Regarding the salary scale law, Al-Atwani explained that “the salary scale law is a purely government decision,” stressing that “the current year will be a year of follow-up (salary scale).”[/rtl]

[rtl]The Chairman of the Finance Committee stated that “an employee receiving 250,000 dinars as a monthly salary is unacceptable,” pointing out that “the salary scale is not within the jurisdiction of Parliament.”[/rtl]
