    [size=45]The Ministry’s Director General of Railways, Younis Al-Kaabi, said, “Our directorate is supportive of the Baghdad Metro project, which the Baghdad Municipality will take over, and we will be with the supporting parties,” noting that “the Railways Directorate has experience extending for decades, whether in implementation or operation.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, “The suspended train has become one of the seven axes in Baghdad,” pointing out that “the name metro is given to all trains within cities, whether suspended, elevated on bridges, or underground.”[/size]
    [size=45]He stated, “The Baghdad Metro was based on the old route that started from the city of Al-Shaab to the city of Al-Kadhimiya and Al-Alawi, and other routes were added to it to cover the largest possible area of ​​Baghdad,” pointing out, “This giant project requires infrastructure, giant companies, and an international effort.” In order to fulfill all these steps, but this does not prevent us from moving forward with this project.”[/size]
