Mawazine News - Baghdad,
the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Burhan Sheikh Raouf, confirmed that employees and retirees in the region paid the price of political differences between Baghdad and Erbil.
Raouf said in an interview with Mawazine News, “All the popular classes living in the region, from employees and retirees to workers and earners, suffer a great tragedy during the holy month of Ramadan due to the non-delivery of salaries.”
He added, "It is very necessary to urgently find quick solutions to end the employee salaries crisis in the Kurdistan region before a catastrophic famine occurs."
He pointed out that "there is real injustice towards the region's employees because they have not received their salaries yet, especially since we are in the holy month of Ramadan."
