    Information / Baghdad..
Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Sajjad Salem, confirmed today, Thursday, that the general amnesty law raises many political disputes over the definition of terrorist organizations, noting that there is a political controversy regarding the legislation of the general amnesty law.
Salem told Al-Maalouma, “The terrorism article hinders the approval and passage of a general amnesty within the House of Representatives, indicating that the amnesty needs political consensus in order to pass it.”
He added, “There is a disagreement between the political forces over a paragraph related to terrorism,” explaining that the disagreement includes questions regarding who is included in the amnesty.
He continued, "The amnesty was submitted to the Presidency of the Council, and the law still needs more political consensus before it is included for the first reading." Ended / 25 h
