The Iraqi political expert, Haitham Al-Khazali, considered today, Wednesday (April 3, 2024), that Washington will take advantage of the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to the United States to convey messages to Iran to avoid escalation in the region.

Earlier, the Prime Minister's press office said that Al-Sudani will meet US President Joe Biden during his visit to the United States on April 15.
He added that the two sides will discuss "a range of issues, including the most important regional issues and efforts to maintain stability in the region."
They will also discuss "the prospects for developing relations after the end of the international coalition mission to combat ISIS, in addition to the best methods for transitioning to comprehensive cooperation between Iraq and the United States."
