Providing all necessary requirements for our pilgrims, in addition to securing the best hotels close to the places where the rituals are performed, introducing automation, modern systems, and the electronic passport to ensure smoothness and no delays, in addition to establishing a city for pilgrims and Umrah performers on the land route by one of the donors, to ensure comfort and complete care for our esteemed pilgrims. His Excellency praised the efforts of the Hajj and Umrah Authority, and its keenness to make the utmost efforts to ensure the comfort of pilgrims, the safety of their stay and arrival, and the performance of rituals in the best condition.[/size]
    [size=45]As part of following up on economic development and supporting industrial investment projects, the Council of Ministers approved, according to the statement, the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for the Economy (24139 Q) regarding amending the prices of the white oil product (kerosene) to the price of (global bulletin - 50%), to operate petrochemical investment projects, in accordance with the Council’s decision. The Ministerial Ministry of Economy (230,126 sq.), and the price of the kerosene product, allocated to the asphalt products factory in Nineveh, affiliated with the General Company for State Mining Industries, will be at a price of (400 dinars per liter), equal to the white elite and dye factories.
    The statement continued that, in the same regard, the Council approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for the Economy (24145 Q), and agreed to amend the price of the black oil product supplied to the Noura Cement Factory in the Holy Karbala Governorate, affiliated with the General Company for Iraqi Cement, one of the formations of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, to become 100 thousand. dinars per ton, instead of 150 thousand dinars.
    According to the statement, the Council also approved the recommendations of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals (Department of Industrial Development and Regulation), based on the provisions of the Iraqi Products Protection Law (11 of 2010), amended according to the following:
    1- Imposing an additional customs duty of (50%) ) of a unit of measurement for the product (paper bags for packing cement imported into Iraq from all countries and origins), for a period of four years without reduction, and monitoring the local market during the period of application of additional customs duties.
    2- The Ministry of Finance/General Authority of Customs applies the additional customs duty for the aforementioned product, and periodically notifies the Department of Industrial Development and Regulation of the quantity of Iraq’s imports of the aforementioned products, the value of the additional customs duties levied on the importer of the foreign product, the importer’s value, the export countries, and the destinations. imported to him.
    3- The Ministry of Industry and Minerals takes into account the amount of increase in imports, compared to the previous three years, and explains the ability of the complaining company to fill the market need in a way that ensures that prices do not inflate, and determines the importance of the required protection for the national economy, and the regulatory authorities audit the effects resulting from imposing additional customs protection on the product. The importer, provided that this decision is implemented after (120) days from the date of its issuance.[/size]
    [size=45]The statement confirmed that, as part of the follow-up to the implementation of the Development Road Project, the Council of Ministers approved an increase in the reserve ratio for the contract (construction of infrastructure - the first phase - marine excavation and backfilling works - the Grand Al-Faw Port) and an increase in the cost of the component (consulting services agreement to supervise the construction of infrastructure, the first phase - works Drilling and backfilling - Al-Faw Grand Port), increasing the total cost of the project.[/size]

    The Council discussed the affairs of the agricultural sector, and approved the summer agricultural plan for the season (2023-2024), according to what was stated in the letter of the Ministry of Agriculture on May 28, 2024, which includes providing water to crops according to instructions, while the Ministry of Water Resources continues its procedures to address violations of river water. And securing marsh nutrients to reduce the effects of water scarcity on the marsh residents.
    Within the framework of development and transportation projects, the Council of Ministers approved - according to the statement - increasing the total cost of the project (rehabilitation of the Karbala building at Baghdad International Airport), amending the project to be (rehabilitating Baghdad International Airport), and amending the project implementation agency to become the Ministry of Transport/General Company for Airport Management. And Air Navigation, instead of the Civil Aviation Authority, in implementation of Cabinet Resolution 23689 of 2023, and the inclusion of additional components in the project with a number of (7) components, including runway planning, replacing the aircraft parking system, replacing PAPI structures, and rehabilitating the rainwater and drinking water stations and the heavy water line.     2- Approval of the approval of Recommendation No. (3) stated in the minutes of the Diwani Order Committee (24130) regarding amending Council of Ministers Resolution (185 of 2021) and excluding part of the plot of land numbered (11/2097, District 18 of Amiriya), whose ownership belongs to the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Al-Alami/University of Baghdad, with an area of ​​(122 dunams) located between the two properties numbered (11/7 and 13, District 18 Amiriya), whose ownership belongs to the National Investment Authority, from Council of Ministers Resolution (185 of 2021), transferring its ownership to the National Investment Authority and compensating the university. mentioned above in the same area.
    3- Amending Paragraph (2) of Council of Ministers Resolution No. (24355 of 2024) to become: Transferring the remaining and surplus capacity of Al-Nahrain Company, using the public tender method, to the printing houses of the public and private sectors, at a rate of (50%) for each, provided that a schedule is allowed to be given. Or two schedules with a value not exceeding (4) billion dinars for one company, according to the price offer or production capacity.[/size]
