A high-ranking political source revealed today, Wednesday, the number of representatives going to perform Hajj in the Holy House of God.
The source told Mawazine News, “The number of representatives who will go to Hajj has reached 80,” noting that “some of the representatives have already traveled to the Holy House of God.”
The source added, "This matter may hinder voting on the budget tables, which require about 15 members of the Parliamentary Finance Committee in order to vote on them before they are presented under the dome of the Council for final passage."
Yesterday, Tuesday (May 28, 2024), the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, revealed that half of the Iraqi pilgrims had arrived to the Holy Land by land and air, while indicating that the government supported the efforts of the Hajj Authority with 39 billion dinars.
At the beginning of this week, the Iraqi Hajj Mission said that the number of pilgrims arriving to the Holy Land through the air and land crossings reached (9,384) pilgrims and they are currently in Medina and Mecca.
