The representative of the Sovereignty Alliance, Aisha Al-Masari, confirmed that revealing the fate of the missing and returning the displaced is one of their most important demands, considering at the same time that the Prime Minister is “serious in fulfilling his promise” after canceling the security clearance of the displaced.
Aisha Al-Masari said, Thursday (November 10, 2022), that "there were many meetings before the formation of the government, and we had basic demands as a Sunni alliance, namely, the reconstruction of the liberated areas, the formation of a committee to search for the missing, and considering them among the victims of terrorism, in addition to the return of the displaced. to their areas, especially Jurf al-Sakhr.”
She pointed to "the cancellation of the security permit for the displaced in the liberated areas," saying that "the Prime Minister is serious about fulfilling his promise."
And the National Security Council had decided, at its meeting yesterday, “to form an investigative committee against the security and intelligence agencies that did not implement the National Security Council’s decision related to canceling the security checks of citizens in the liberated areas, and holding the negligent to account.”
Aisha Al-Masari expressed hope that “in the coming days, the prime minister will implement the basics of the government program,” stressing that “disclosing the fate of the missing is a very important demand, in addition to returning citizens to their liberated areas.”
She stressed that the Sovereignty Alliance is looking forward to strengthening its relations with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, after it "proven success," describing the alliance between them as "very important."
The representative of the Sovereignty Alliance, Raad Al-Dahlaki, had expressed his hope that the KDP's vision would be "wider than the scope of the Kurdistan Region, and that the achievements it achieved in the Kurdistan Region would be reflected in Baghdad and throughout Iraq."
In a statement to Rudaw Media Network, on the occasion of the 14th Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which was held in Dohuk at the beginning of this month, he called for the KDP to share with other parties "partisan competence, in order to benefit from this experience in a way that will reflect positively on Baghdad."
