The Central Bank of Iraq's sales of US dollars during the past week, which witnessed the opening of the auction for four days, amounted to more than one billion dollars.
During that period, the Central Bank sold an amount of one billion, 91 million, 173 thousand, and 642 dollars, at a daily rate of 272 million, 793 thousand, and 410 dollars, an increase from the previous week, which recorded sales of one billion, 88 million, 321 thousand, and 474 dollars. The
highest sales of the dollar were on Thursday, amounting to 276 million, 669 thousand, and 520 dollars, while the lowest sales were recorded on Tuesday, amounting to 268 million, 96 thousand, and 834 dollars.
Foreign remittance sales during the past week amounted to one billion, 29 million, 621 thousand, and 642 dollars, an increase of 94% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 61 million, 552 thousand dollars.
