Today, Tuesday (July 23, 2024), the Directorate of Residency and Nationality is making efforts to reduce illegal employment in Iraq and grant expatriates visas that enable them to stay and work legally inside Iraq.
Baghdad Today correspondent monitored "the presence of nearly a thousand Arab and foreign applicants inside the Residency and Nationality Directorate building, while its cadres, headed by its director, Major General Hussein Al-Yassari, are working to complete the applications quickly."
He added, "The Residency Directorate is working diligently and with limited capabilities to complete these requests as quickly as possible to reduce illegal employment inside Iraq."
He explained that "the Directorate is working to grant various types of visas to expatriates, the most prominent of which are the work visa and the temporary residence visa."
It is noteworthy that the Residence Directorate is working in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor in a remarkable manner to eliminate the phenomenon of illegal labor inside Iraq.
