    Admitted member of the Economic Committee in the current parliament (Ahmed Kanani), on Wednesday, that the rise in the dollar's exchange rate against the Iraqi dinar, the central bank does not possess sufficient liquidity to cover the needs of the local market.


    He (Kanani) statement to news website that "the country suffers from a shortage of funds, so the rise in the dollar price of something natural, pointing out that the lack of dollar selling by the central bank to suit the size of the market led to a rise in the dollar's exchange rate against the Iraqi dinar."


    He predicted (Kanani) that "witnessing the dollar exchange rate rise in the coming days, especially in the next couple of months, and perhaps more than in 1400 and up to 1500 dinars to the dollar."
