{Baghdad} Euphrates News Department of Commerce announced that it would stop the import next year, sunflower oil with Aazayadh developments in the domestic production in the framework of the government's plan to provide basic foodstuffs.
The general director of the General Company for food trade in the Ministry ofCommerce Kassem Hammoud , in a press statement that the government will sign acontract to buy sunflower oil with Union Company for Food Industries of the Iraqi private sector, which will provide the ministry textured sugar , too.
He said Hamoud "We have achieved the target with respect to material sugar to be from local production, "he said . " at the beginning of 2017, the Ministry ofCommerce, as it did for sugar, will depend on the production of vegetable oils produced locally. "

the local union company announced earlier on the completion of 45% of a larger project plant vegetable oils in the world, southwest of the city of Hilla, Babil province, (100 kilometers ) south of Baghdad, confirmed that the plant will produce more than three thousand tons a day for four types of oils, expected to open early next year 2017.
he said the commercial director of Union Haider Nomani in an interview, said that " the company embarked on the establishment of the largest manufacturer ofvegetable oils in the world in near the Midhtah (40 km south - west of Hilla) production capacity of 3,200 tons per day and more than one million tons per year and the plant , which followed is located in the Netherlands , a capacity of 2000 tons per day," noting that " the factory will produce four types of oils are sunflower oil, soybean oil and corn oil, palm oil, the plant will cover the Iraqi market needs and theration card is full."
