    Revealed the province of Basra police headquarters, said that this year , the largest percentage of engagement of drugs in theprovince record compared with previous years, and pointed to adjust more than 83 kilograms of crystal and hashish and arrested about 780 suspects , according to what has been recorded up to August now, and called upon the religious authorities to intervene to confront the risk of addiction and the reduction of such practices, training and development center in the province called for treatment of children from schools leakage and reduce the high rates of unemployment. 



    he said Basra 's police chief, Maj . Gen. Abdul Karim Mustafa, during a conference to combat drugs in theprovince, held in "Basra Land" Hall downtown in the presence of the governor of Basra and a number of security officials and directors of government departments and attended (range Press), " the purpose of holding this conference is to discuss the reasons for the drug crisis in the province and mechanisms to curb such practices." 
    said Mustafa, said that "this year is the most in the abuse drugs, where he scored up to the current month ofAugust, the arrest of 780 suspects engages and trading, and controlling more than 83 kilograms of narcotic substances , both hashish and crystal, which indicates a rising trend compared to last year , which ended withthe arrest of 261 suspects and adjust 7.35 kilograms of materials narcotic. " 
    He called Mustafa" religious and cultural actors and civil society organizations and the media to contribute in the face of the threat of drugs and prevent their spread because of the effects of lethal on society, especially young people, "stressing" the necessity of controlling the borders and prevent the entry of outside the country. " In turn, noted director of training and development center in Basra, left , yesterday, in an interview with(long - Presse), to the "It 's in the process of preparing a study on drug use and research into the causes oftheir spread , " indicating that "preliminary results indicate that the most targeted category and at risk ofabuse the age of the rates range (8 of 18) years. " 
    She called , yesterday, to" address the children drop out of school and effective contribution to reduce unemployment among young people the fact that these two matters of the main reasons to assist in thespread of the phenomenon of addiction and drug trafficking. "
