    Abadi office announces the results of talks with the Kurdish delegation without reference to the referendum

    BAGHDAD, Iraq - August 15: The Information Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced that the latter met with the Kurdistan political delegation, which was presented to Baghdad.
    The press office said in a statement that the meeting "witnessed the appreciation of the joint efforts between the federal government and the region in the battle to liberate Mosul and the importance of completing the liberation of all Iraqi territory from the gangs of the terrorist."
    The statement added that "the meeting witnessed a frank and in-depth dialogue on the need to activate mechanisms to resolve the outstanding problems and a positive atmosphere."
    The statement added that "it was agreed to continue constructive and serious dialogue to achieve the common interests of the Iraqi people and remove the accumulated historical concerns and concerns in order to preserve the unity of Iraq."
    The statement did not address the referendum scheduled for September 25 in Kurdistan.
    The delegation in charge of negotiating with Baghdad by the Supreme Committee for the referendum in the Kurdistan region arrived Monday evening in the Iraqi capital.
