[ltr]Iran's transport ministry decided on Friday to ban Iranian companies from transporting oil products to and from the Kurdistan region.[/ltr]
[ltr]"As a result of recent developments and the decision of the Ministry of the Interior and the concerned authorities, it is strictly forbidden to transfer any oil materials from and to the Kurdistan region until further notice," the ministry said in a circular to a number of transport companies, read by Mawazine News.[/ltr]
[ltr]The ministry warned in its circular, "owners of transport companies to be lenient with this decision."[/ltr]
[ltr]Iran decided, earlier, to close its airspace with the Kurdistan region completely after the conduct of the referendum province of Kurdistan[/ltr]
