    Information / follow up ..
Russia on Thursday banned a US draft resolution on the extension of the mission of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to investigate the chemical in Syria.
The council was due to discuss on Thursday two draft resolutions on extending the mission - the United States and Russia.
But Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nibenzia, announced at the meeting the withdrawal of the Russian project, because members of the Security Council refused to vote after the American project.
After that, the American draft resolution was put to the vote. The resolution won the support of 11 countries, Russia (permanent member of the UN Security Council) and Bolivia. China and Egypt abstained
