BAGHDAD - Baghdad signed an investment contract that was agreed between the Iraqi government and the UAE-owned state-owned oil company Ulif to secure the international link between Baghdad and Amman because of Iraqi political reservations about the company accused of serious abuses in Yemen, Libya and other countries in the region for the Abu Dhabi government, Iraqi officials.
A number of members of the Committee on Security and Defense in the Parliament, a proposal to the Prime Minister to take over the federal police and the anti-terrorist task instead of the company, after the end of battles with the "Islamic state" and the withdrawal of about 40% of those forces to bases on the outskirts of liberated cities in northern Iraq and the West.
A senior Iraqi government official confirmed that "the agreement with the company was revoked by Baghdad, and therefore the company itself seemed reluctant to start because of fears of attacks of a political nature targeting them».
He explained that «the first reason for the decline of Baghdad is to prove the involvement of the company and its members of crimes and intelligence in several countries of the region, as well as the incomprehensible partnership between the government of Abu Dhabi owned and smashed President Trump Jared Kouchner, who pressed for the company's victory contract, Security units working with them and their background with Blackwater ».
