Former Minister Mohsen al-Shammari said on Sunday that mismanagement of successive governments and the decision-makers' keenness to strengthen their entities and turn to their pleasures deprived the citizen of his most basic rights and made him vulnerable to poverty, disease and murder by gangs and terrorism.
Al-Shammari said, "In order to inform the citizen demanding services in Iraq's wounded provinces and to contribute to put them on the right track and to charge the cause of this dangerous volume of quantitative and qualitative deterioration in services and dimensions by building for the Iraqi people and state in the next elections we provide details in numbers to take the citizen a real picture of Reasons for leaving the street calling for services that represent the minimum of a decent life in a country whose revenues from oil only (2003 to) between (100-150) million dollars a day.
"If we assume that a quarter of this amount is invested to address the file of services (education, health, drinking water, sewage, transportation (roads, railways, airports, communications and electricity) for the past 15 years, a quarter of the amount, It is enough to build ten thousand schools of 18 typical classes and in each row 25 students (the model class) to accommodate about five million students and five universities at the level of the University of Baghdad in Jadiriyah at a total cost of $ 15 billion education in Iraq to its global status.
Al-Shammari said, "It will also build 60 public hospitals with 400 beds with world standards and 1,000 primary and specialized health centers at a total cost of $ 15 billion. This will eliminate the need for citizens to travel outside the country for treatment, save money, time and effort, improve the health level of all citizens and raise it to global levels. Reconstruction and reduce the suffering of health and improve the intellectual and psychological performance of the citizen, in addition to the cost of building, generation and distribution of 30 megawatts of electricity sufficient to need 40 Iraq at a cost of 50 billion dollars.
The former minister added, "It is constructing 50 water-drinking facilities, 50 heavy water treatment units for 40 million Iraqis with transmission lines at a total cost of 25 billion dollars, building five big airports the size of Baghdad International Airport and buying 100 Boeing or Airbus planes to become a large national fleet And ten thousand kilometers of railways and stations and a hundred thousand kilometers of vehicles, the width of 5 m and 100 thousand kilometers of optical cable and stations for telecommunications at a total cost of up to $ 75 billion make Iraq one of the best countries in the world in the transport and communications.
Al-Shammari said that "when we put these data in our hands we see the magnitude of the problem left by successive mismanagement of governments and failure to address the files of the country, including services, and their reluctance to build themselves and strengthen their entities (satellite channels and headquarters and fortifications inside and outside Iraq and notes and conferences and follow-up and bank accounts) and their departure to their pleasures And their desires and meet their whims (rave parties, red nights, expensive holidays in five star hotels and gambling) deprived the citizen of his most basic rights and made him vulnerable to hunger, poverty, disease, ignorance, death and murder by gangs and terrorism.
