"The US president may withdraw from the Iranian nuclear deal," said Republican Senator Bob Corker, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Korker told CBS News that he expected "Trump's withdrawal from Iran's nuclear deal a month in May."
"The Iranian agreement will be another issue raised in May, and at the moment it does not seem to be extended," the Republican senator said in a meeting with the US network.
Asked if he believed Trump would withdraw from the deal on May 12, at the end of a deadline to extend suspension of sanctions on Iran under the deal, Korker said "yes".
In 2015, Iran signed an agreement with the six countries - Britain, France, China, Germany and Russia - to reduce the nuclear program in return for lifting economic sanctions.
