A member of the parliamentary education committee Riyad Ghali al-Saadi, on Friday, Prime Minister Haider Abadi to withdraw the Minister of Education, Mohamed Iqbal against the backdrop of corruption rampant within the ministry as well as the responsibility for the low level of education in the country.
"There is evidence, documents and videos showing the brother of the Minister of Education, Zaid Omar Mahmoud and the son of director of the Anbar province, Nafie Hussein, who were cheating publicly in one of the polling stations in Erbil," he said.
He added that "the Minister of Education worked to retest the exam for his brother and punish those who held him," noting that "the Minister of Education broke the law and controls through the allocation of a test center for his brother on the grounds that he is displaced in cooperation with the director of education Anbar."
Al-Saadi pointed out that "all the documents and evidence reinforced with videos have been forwarded to the concerned authorities." He pointed out that "the Minister of Education continued to spoil him, as well as the low success rates required the prime minister to withdraw the minister's hand and refer him to the investigation."
