    Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Tuesday that the orders are clear on preventing the firing of live ammunition at demonstrators.

    "Our orders are clear about preventing the firing of live ammunition at demonstrators," Abbadi told a weekly news conference, referring to the directive to open an investigation into the killing of a young man during demonstrations in Basra.

    Abadi called the political blocs to speed up the completion of constitutional benefits.

    "We have given the provinces the authority to conduct transfers in financial allocations for the rapid establishment of projects and the provision of services."

    "The pilot line of the Haritha water plant in Basra will be operated next month," Abadi said.

    "Al-Maliki confirmed Basra, the supreme reference of the Shiites in Najaf, Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani on Tuesday, the fall of injuries by the use of security forces live bullets against demonstrators in the province.
    Maliki said in a statement to reporters today after meeting with Ahmed al-Safi and Sistani's agent, that "we have wounded and detained demonstrators."
    Maliki, the commander of operations in Basra and the police commander, called for not giving orders to use live bullets against the demonstrators and to stop the arrests against them.
