The Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, condemned the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a painful and unjustifiable incident, threatening to hold officials accountable and not allow exploitation of the case to cause a rift between Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
"It is a painful incident for all and an unjustifiable crime," Prince Mohammed bin Salman said during a conference on the Future Investment Initiative.
The Saudi crown prince stressed that some were trying to exploit Khashoggi's cause to cause a rift between Saudi Arabia and Turkey, but vowed not to do so as long as Saudi King Salman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
He also considered Mohammed bin Salman in an interview that it is time to restructure the Saudi security sector.
The Crown Prince pointed out that his country is cooperating with Turkey in the case of Khashoggi, and stressed: "All the perpetrators will be punished and justice will prevail."
