Legal expert: can modify the pension law after approval by the Presidency of the Republic and its publication in the Official Gazette
BAGHDAD - Iraq Press -17 February: said legal expert Ali al-Tamimi, said on Monday that any amendment to the Unified Retirement Law voted by the Parliament or modify one of its paragraphs as possible after the ratification of the law by the President of the Republic and its publication in the Gazette of the official, stressing that the challenge the law will not affect the application being will be implemented retroactively.
Tamimi said in a statement / Iraq Press that "a vote on any law in parliament means that it has become the duty of the application based on the Iraqi constitution and rules of procedure of Parliament, after approval by the Presidency of the Republic and its publication in the Official Gazette, and without it can not be re-vote on the pension law."
Tamimi said that "it is possible to modify the law, and Baadalmsadegh Publishing, one of the first two methods can be a challenge in federal court and the second submission of a request signed by 10 deputies to modify certain paragraphs of the pension law."
