    [rtl]Basra Governor As'ad al-Eidani said on Saturday that the province needs 10 billion dollars to start strategic projects to improve the city's status as Iraq's economic capital.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Al-Eidani said in a press conference held at the headquarters of the local government, after meeting with directors of administrative units on the project plan for the current year, "What is currently allocated to Basra in this year's budget is one trillion dinars and half trillion, equivalent to one billion dollars only."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He added that "this amount and at the level of the current year is the beginning of a way to promote Basra."[/rtl]
