[rtl]Parliamentary Higher Education Committee revealed on Thursday, political figures trying to impose people suspected of corruption to take over leadership positions in universities.[/rtl]
[rtl]"Some political figures are trying to impose some people who have a number of negative remarks and try to push them through transactions tainted by suspicious corruption and many question marks," MP Moqdam al-Jumaili said in a statement received by Al Ghad Press.[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Jumaili added that "out of the powers guaranteed by the constitution and the rules of procedure of the Council, we categorically reject the passage of such figures who have corruption files in the Commission of Integrity and previous ministerial sanctions because of their breach of work."[/rtl]
[rtl]He continued, "We have all those documents that confirm this and we will inform the sisters and brothers of the members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives before proceeding to vote to preserve the Iraqi universities from the arrival of such corrupt and politicized personalities to the helm of the university leadership because this will adversely affect our educational institutions."[/rtl]
