The Directorate of Water Resources in Diyala Governorate has announced securing the water quota for the upcoming agricultural season.
Muhannad Al-Maamouri, director of water resources in the governorate, said in a statement reported by the official news agency "Waaa" and seen by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the current storage of water exceeds one billion and 400 million cubic liters", noting that "there is an additional good storage in the Hamrin Dam, which has a role Major in securing the agricultural plan for the next season. "
In turn, the director of the Hamrin Dam Washeq Hassan stressed that "the water share for the next season in the governorate is fully insured."
He pointed out, "The completion of the winter plan by its cadres, in coordination with the Directorate of Water Resources, because the water storage in the Hamrin Dam is within its natural levels."
The administration of the Hamrin Dam in Diyala Governorate had announced earlier control of all water releases during the crisis of high water levels due to floods resulting from the increase in water quantities.
