The Sixth US Fleet Quarantined Healthily, Fearing Corona
The ships will remain at sea for at least 14 days after visiting any port in Europe, in order to avoid the spread of corona coronavirus, fleet spokesman Kyle Reins told CNN.
"In conjunction with other fleets, we have defined a 14-day implementation period between port visits to allow doctors to monitor crews," Reins added.
He stressed that this step will not affect the navy's ability to perform its tasks.
The US Navy's Sixth Fleet operates mainly in the Mediterranean, but also makes regular flights to the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea. / End 9[/rtl]
