The judiciary clarifies the punishment for anyone who insults a state institution or a government employee

{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Supreme Judicial Council clarified a penalty against anyone who insulted a state institution or a government employee.
The superintendent of the media center in the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Abdel-Sattar Bayrakdar, said in a statement that {Al Furat News} received a copy of it that “Article (226) of the Penal Code stipulated a prison sentence of no more than seven years against anyone who insulted a state institution.” .
He also "Article 229 of the Act on the prison sentence for a period not exceeding three years against anyone who insulted one state employees and any position or title , and these crimes are considered public right" .anthy crimes
