    Today, Wednesday, Minister of Agriculture Muhammad Karim announced the issuance of a directive from Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to schedule the debts of Wasit farmers and exempt them from taxes and customs procedures during his visit today to Wasit.
    Karim said in an interview with Al-Iraqiya News Channel followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi's visit to Wasit farms is very important, and it is the first for a prime minister since 2003," pointing out that "Al-Kazemi directed during it to facilitate the access of feedstuffs to farmers and exempt the farmers of Wasit." From taxes and customs procedures, as well as scheduling the debts they owe within the agricultural initiative. "
    He added, "Al-Kazemi was briefed on the ground about the problems of wheat farmers in Wasit, which produces 700 thousand tons annually, and the problems of poultry producers, and promised to disburse all the farmers' allocations within a month."
    He pointed out that "the prime minister was surprised at the lack of silos and silos in Wasit governorate, and instructed to establish silos in Wasit," stressing that "the province needs at least 3 silos."
    He continued, "Al-Kazemi directed the ministry as well to overcome the obstacles in Silo Rusafa."
    He revealed that "more than 150 free-hand farmers received their lands yesterday as part of the agricultural initiative."
    At the same time, he pointed out that "the ministry has achieved self-sufficiency in meat production by 99% and in egg production by 80%," noting that "the entry of smuggled eggs and chickens is a matter that greatly affects local production."
