MP Ahmad Mazhar Al-Jubouri announced, on Saturday, that a relative of Interior Minister Othman Al-Ghanimi will be hosting to discuss security breaches and assassinations of activists in different regions of the country.
Al-Jubouri said in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that he "strongly condemns the continued breaches of security in the governorate and the rest of the provinces and the weakness of the Ministry of Interior's measures around them."
He added that "security breaches are still continuing, at different rates, in various regions of the governorate, in addition to the assassination operations that affect activists and dignitaries of the province and the whole country from time to time."
He pointed out, "Parliament will soon host the Minister of the Interior to find out the reasons for the weakness of the ministry's measures to confront and eliminate these violations, which have become a major reason for the displacement of a number of families from different regions in the province."
Al-Jubouri added, "If the council is not satisfied with the hosting answers, the matter will turn into an interrogation and the other measures that follow."
And he stressed "the need to strengthen the security aspect in the whole country, especially as we are on the verge of an electoral event that the Iraqis are waiting for in order to change for the better."
