On Thursday, the representative of the Badr bloc in the Iraqi parliament, Abbas Al-Zamili, denounced the continued presence of US forces inside Iraq and the crimes they commit, stressing the need for the government to move quickly to end the presence of these forces on Iraqi soil.
Al-Zamili said, "The US forces are not committed to the rules of international behavior and do not coordinate with the Iraqi government when carrying out any attack or movement."
He added that "the presence of US forces in Iraq is illegal, so the parliament's decision is binding on the government to end the presence of any foreign forces on Iraqi soil, and the parliament is determined to implement its decision."
Al-Zamili pointed out that "the internal situation in Iraq will not calm down in light of the continued presence of US forces on Iraqi soil, so the government should expedite the termination of any presence of these forces."
