Iraq decides to contract with an international company to support the management and implementation of projects

The Council of Ministers decided to contract with one of the major international companies specialized in management in the capacity of a consultant to the government from the Ministries of Planning and Finance, to participate in the field of project management and implementation.
This came during the regular session of the Council, yesterday, Tuesday, headed by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, according to a statement by the media office of the President of the Council.
With regard to the government’s efforts to reform, combat corruption and waste, and properly plan for economic development in the country, the Ministerial Council for Social Services Resolution No. 1 of 2021 was approved during the session, which included contracting with one of the major international companies specialized in management in the capacity of a consultant to the government from the Ministries of Planning and Finance. Each according to his duties established in his law, or jointly and in a manner that guarantees the provision of optimal advice to the Council of Ministers and the creation of economic and financial indicators.
The Council agreed that the Ministry of Planning would contract with international and local companies and consulting offices specialized in project management and implementation, and prepare feasibility studies to ensure the best consistency and speed of project management and implementation.
He also agreed that the implementing agencies (sectoral ministries, governorates, and agencies) would seek the assistance and contract with global and local companies and consulting offices specialized in project management and implementation, and prepare feasibility studies to ensure better performance, consistency and speed for project management and implementation.
