, a representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Muhammad Karim Al-Baldawi, confirmed, on Wednesday, the existence of a major political rejection of the issue of international supervision of the early Iraqi elections.
Al-Baldawi said, in a televised interview, followed by "Mawazine News", that "there is a great rejection by the majority of political forces for the international supervision of the early Iraqi elections, as this matter affects the sovereignty of the country and affects the integrity of the electoral process," explaining that "the supervision can open the door to manipulation in the elections." The results of the elections are in favor of some political parties.
He pointed out that "the international and international role, should be only for the purpose of monitoring without any interference in the electoral affairs, and this is what we are working on," explaining that "it is not possible to allow any supervision of any international party and outside, whatever its title."
