     Baghdad: Muhannad Abd al-Wahhab

The Ministry of Electricity has introduced new obstetric and transformative units for service, and indicated that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi directed the ministries of Planning and Finance to provide all the financial needs of the ministry in order to implement its plans to meet the country's need for electrical energy.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Musa Al-Abadi, said: “The Ministry of Electricity has worked to introduce new obstetric and transformative units that will start service and actual work in mid-February next year, in addition to preparing the power transmission lines that will allow the transfer of additional energies to the network.”
He stressed that "the preparation for adding generating stations to the transmission networks has reached 82% of the completion," noting that "the ministry's staff are working to rehabilitate modern diesel stations, and the ministry has completed signing the contract and referring it for full rehabilitation, and the staff has completed the rehabilitation of the (Debs) station. In Kirkuk governorate, work has begun in new phases at the Baiji gas station.”
And he indicated that "there are great preparations to receive the winter season and rehabilitate the distribution networks with emphasis and care to exclude all heavy water drainage stations and rainwater drainage stations from the programmed cut, and the formation of stationary teams in addition to high coordination with municipal departments and the secretariat and full alert to face any weather conditions that may occur."
Al-Abadi demanded, “the government develop a successful fuel plan due to the negative impact on the system against the background of the decline in Iranian gas releases,” noting that “we are trying to strive in coordination with the Ministry of Oil, but the defect is clear and present, and we have lost about 3,000 megawatts due to the declines in gas,” stressing On the importance of “providing financial support for the plan developed by the ministry and began to be implemented, and the Prime Minister directed the ministries of planning and finance to provide all the needs of the Ministry of Electricity to meet the country’s need for energy.”
